Thomas is an articling student at Gilbert’s LLP and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2017. At Osgoode, Thomas pursued his interests in all areas of intellectual property law and was a clinic fellow at IP Osgoode’s Innovation Clinic, a needs-based innovation-to-market legal clinic.

Prior to attending Osgoode, Thomas graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours), majoring in Biology. At Queen’s he completed an undergraduate thesis analyzing protein localization during stress response in fission yeast. Instead of continuing in science and perhaps one day perfecting his pipetting technique, Thomas decided that lab work wasn’t for him and made the move to law. Since finishing his studies in biology, and while attending Osgoode, Thomas also worked for two summers with hydraulics (the industrial, rather than lowrider, variety).

Outside the office Thomas enjoys playing hockey, backcountry camping, and (mostly urban) cycling along with the tinkering and tuning that inevitably follows.
