Biography
Chad Betteridge serves as the firm’s librarian and IT support specialist, blending expertise in research, knowledge management, and technology troubleshooting. A journalism school graduate, Chad eventually discovered his passion leaned more toward the analytical rigor of behind-the-scenes research rather than chasing leads at city council meetings or knocking on doors.
Chad’s journey from journalism school to his current position reflects his love of problem-solving and his fascination with the tools that power modern research. Whether navigating the depths of a database, tracking down 19th century court documents, troubleshooting a stubborn piece of software, or guiding colleagues through technical challenges, Chad is known for his patient approach and knack for finding efficient, effective answers. His role is as much about empowering others as it is about delivering results, making him a vital resource for the entire team.
In his spare time, Chad enjoys weightlifting, watching Japanese pro wrestling & Liverpool FC games, and—predictably—reading. Chad also holds an impressive (or so he claims) video game skillset, at one point (briefly) becoming ranked 9th in the world at Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and holding the all-time high score on The Rec Room’s piano rhythm game.
