Biography
Laura’s practice covers a broad range of corporate and commercial law matters, including private placements, corporate governance issues, business structuring, and commercial agreements.
Prior to joining Gilbert’s LLP, Laura worked at a large firm advising clients on securities law, regulatory matters and capital markets transactions, including some of Canada’s largest public offerings, mergers and acquisitions. Laura also completed a secondment at a large financial institution.
Laura was the gold medalist of her JD class at the University of Windsor. While in school, she worked as a research assistant, building intellectual property educational tools for organizations. Prior to law school, Laura worked in legal/operations for a tech start-up and completed her Master of Arts in Political Science.
Laura loves all things vintage, doing yoga, restoring pre-loved furniture and hanging out with her friendly neighbourhood cats.
